What Would We Do Without Trails? (And a look at the week ahead.)

In remembrance of those who have fought and are fighting for our freedom, especially our freedom to ride mountain bikes!

Coming This Week
Quality content is a-brewing here on Greg Rides Trails.  I have several different series that I'm working on, and it was actually difficult trying to decide which direction to take this week.  But as I mentioned a couple of days ago, I have a ton of quality content from Levis Mound to post up.  I have yet to publish a review of the Levis Mound trail system, mainly because the task seems so daunting due to how much I know about those trails, and the incredible variety present in that trail system.

To conquer that daunting task, I am going to begin with a trail review of the entire system, which should be live sometime tomorrow.  Because of the vast variety inherent in those trails (and because they are all so dang good), I am going to post a review of each individual trail in the system, and link to them from the main Levis Mound post.  I currently have clips from about 75-80% of the trails, so there will most likely be a video (and photos) to accompany most every review and keep things entertaining!

As an example of what these posts will look like, there are 2 such write-ups/reviews of individual trails at Levis which you may have already seen:
Should be an awesome week!  Check back daily for new content!

Your Turn: It's Memorial Day. I hope you all are getting some awesome mountain biking in over the holiday weekend! So where have you ridden this weekend?

Hahahaha....I love the photo you used in this post. I was actually a bodybuilder at one point in my life and competed in it over 10 years ago. That photo brings back so many memories and like the guy in the photo, I've given up the muscles for a cyclists body. I love it.

Great post and good luck in the Crank Honors.

(Where did you find that photo?)

Got to ride Deer Creek Canyon Open Space (Red Mesa Loop). The Wall of Shame kicked my butt yet again ... ever been there?

Also got to do some intervals early Sunday morning. Gotta get ready for the big CB trip in a month.

@ Loving The Bike, I don't remember where I came across the photo, but I'm pretty sure it's an official IMBA promo type picture.

@ Ed, Glad you got out to do some riding! I've heard of those trails, but I don't think I've ridden them. Are they close to Red Rocks/Dakota Ridge? I've ridden there.

Yep ... as you move south from Red Rocks you hit Mount Falcon, then Deer Creek Canyon (both JeffCo Open Spaces), then Waterton Canyon/Roxborough Loop/Indian Creek rides. So, yea, you were close at Red Rocks/Dakota Ridge.

@Ed, right on. I rode Mount Falcon, and White Ranch up in Golden. There are so many rides right on the Front Range there, I need to move back for a while just to ride them all!

When I was living in the area, I lived further up in the mountains on 285 (in Bailey), so I rode more of the trails in that region.

How soon do you leave for CB?
