Photo Contest Winner: AK_Dan
Do you remember the photo contest that I hosted back at the beginning of August? I chose a photo by Daniel from Alaska as the winning submission, and he received a $100 prize. Dan turned around and wisely used the $100 to purchase a sweet camera case for his brand new digital camera. I'm glad that the prize went to such a worthy winner, and that the money is being put towards the creation of even more awesome mountain bike photos!
Dan is an incredibly gifted photographer (check out some more of his photos here), and after a long summer season of working in Alaska he will soon be on the road in the lower 48 mountain biking and shooting photos. I read Dan's blog, and I am personally excited to see where he's going to travel and what he's going to capture on film (digital film I guess). You can follow his blog too, and keep tabs on his adventures!
Now if only I can convince him to do a guest post or two on here....

Hey thanks Greg.
So far things are off to a slow start this winter- I find myself in Bend, OR sampling some of the great riding here. However at the same time I am dealing with some back issues that are keeping me a bit subdued. It is however getting better everyday so with luck we will be back to my regularly scheduled mayhem very soon!
Ugh back issues... unfortunately I probably know all to well what you're going through! Glad to hear you're on the mend though, get better soon!
How's the riding in bend? I've heard so many good things about that area!
